This course will focus on basic skill development and requires no programming experience. Students will be members of the Northwood 烦恼 EDR robotics team (Team #12946), 设计ing and 构建ing robots for the 烦恼 机器人 Competition (during the winter trimester). Students will face game-specific engineering challenges and will be required to develop the necessary skills to 构建 effective robots. A thorough introduction to robot programming using Robot C will help students develop fundamental programming-based logic skills. Grading in this course is based on the successful completion of projects and the level of proficiency in skill areas.

应用机器人 (荣誉级一年课程)

This course is 设计ed to be an intermediate/advanced level course and students are expected to have a basic knowledge or experience with logic and computer programming. Students will be members of the Northwood FIRST FRC robotics team (Team #6300). Students will 设计 and 构建 industrial robots from scratch – mastering the fundamental concepts in the process. 机械装配, 传动系统设计, 电线, Java编程, 机械工程, and robot command and control are skills students will develop in this process. This course will employ advanced 3 d打印技术 tools and develop skills for 3D model and part 设计. Grading in this course is based on the successful completion of projects and the level of proficiency in skill areas.

This course introduces modern 3D 设计, modeling, and fabrication skills. Students learn basic CAD 画ing and assembly skills to create software-based models. 空间分辨率, dimensioning and part integration skills are developed through a series of 设计 projects. Students develop an understanding of CAD software and file management in the creation of 3D parts. 3 d打印技术, CNC(计算机数控)布线, and laser cutting/engraving machines are utilized to bring CAD 设计s to life.
